Needles are generally in bundles of 2,3 or 5 which spring from a basal sheath.
Tentaively assigned the id of Japense Black Pine or Pinus thunbergii
as it needles were only 4" long, in pairs, sharp pointed,
densely set, pointing forward.
Note the bundles of 2 needles...
