Common Name: Sharp Lobed Hepatica
Genus/Species:Hepatica noblis

Description: perennial; 4-8" leaves 3-lobed
Flowers: lavendar, blue, white: 6-10 petals

Medicinal and other uses:
Once uses extensively in Europe for liver aliments and tonic for apetites
Now not recommended due to potential risks: contains irritating compounds

Blooming time: Feb- June
Found in rich woods from Maine to Georgia
