1 microscope
1 prepared slide of human lung
1 prepared slide of human lung - adenocarcinoma
1 prepared slide of human colon
1 prepared slide of human colon - benign polyp
1 prepared slide of human colon - carcinoma
Time Required: 40 minutes
1. Within a group of 4, assign each person one of the cooperative learning roles. For a group of 5 students, split the role of recorder/reporter into two jobs.
2. Using one of the prepared slides, focus it under 10x magnification.
3. Draw and label the slide on the lab sheet.
4. Repeat this for all of the slides. Make sure that all of the students in the group have looked at each of the slides under the microscope.
