INTRODUCTION & GUIDED PRACTICE

1. Using charts and posters, discuss the parts of the organs related to the senses.

2. Examine slides using the video microscope to show what students should see.

3. Capture the images for future reference.

4. Show sensory receptor cells Receptor cells

5. Assign students in pairs or groups of 3-4 to a microscope(based on availability of microscopes).

INDEPENDENT PRACTICE

Students will look at the slides, make and record observations. 

ASSESSMENT

Comparison of observations with the displayed image.

CLOSURE

Next class develop methods to fool the senses.
