If you are currently employed as a teacher in Maryland, your county's Human Resources Department will tell you specifically which classes you need to take to become certified in ESOL.If you are interested in earning a Master’s degree, the English Learner Educational Services courses count toward McDaniel's MS in Curriculum and Instruction. The courses also provide an important background for educators who would like to know more about meeting the needs of English language learners, but do not wish to pursue full certification. To enroll in the English Learner Educational Services courses, you need to apply to Graduate and Professional studies as a non-degree student. The application and registration forms are available online.
